    Ski Kimberley

    Although Kimberley has only five lifts, the resort boasts 80 runs and 1,800 acres of skiable terrain, including the infamous Black Forest. North Star Mountain provides terrain for every level of skier or rider including an enhanced beginner’s area, multiple intermediate trails (the longest being four miles long), and steep terrain and glades for the more advanced and experienced. Night skiing is also available Thursday through Saturday nights until 8:30 p.m. on Kimberley’s main thorough fare. If you’re looking to change it up a bit, or don’t happen to ski or snowboard, don’t fret. Kimberley offers a multitude of activities that reach beyond the ski slopes. Dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and helicopter tours are all great ways to see the natural beauty of the surrounding Purcell Range area. Also, be sure to check out the ice skating, movies and bowling.

    If you're traveling with the kids and looking for some adult time, drop them at the Kidzrule Evening, held at the Trickle Creek Lodge. This free service is available Sunday through Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will keep your kids entertained with an assortment of activities while you grab some grub and a pint down at nearby Kelsey's. Other unique activities and adventures are available, including a dinner or sleepover in an igloo, a wildlife safari and a romantic sleigh ride, just to name a few. Quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger while aprèsing in the city of Kimberley, just a short drive from the ski resort. Known as the "Bavarian City of the Rockies," the city is closed to traffic and is home to various shops, restaurants and bars. Reminiscent of a small Alpine village, the downtown area, known as the "Platzyl," exudes warmth and a genuine hospitality.
